20th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition

The Padzieski Art Gallery located in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, in Dearborn in Michigan City known for its unique presentation of art and culture will be organizing the 20th annual juried photographic exhibition from the 5th of February to the 27th of February.

The opening party would be organized on the 5th of February between 7 and 8:30 pm. This juried photography exhibition is being eagerly awaited by photographers and art lovers from all over the state as they would be given an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent , win lucrative cash prize as well as buy and sell unique artistic creations available at a limited stock.

This exhibition is thronged by people of different age groups and belonging to different walks of life. They present their talent by participating in the three categories of the exhibition, namely black and white, color and digitally altered photography. This exhibition presents a wonderful combination of creative work that ranges from simple photography to advanced professional clicks. With the advent of advanced technology the medium of photography has lost its creativity. This exhibition however brings out the true essence of art, observation and innovation. The Downriver Community Arts Council has chosen two of the favorite award winning photographers of Dearborn to judge the exhibition- Teresa Lousias and Lance Rosol. Louisas has attained international acclaim for her excellence in photography, whereas Rosol has been a winner of this exhibition in 2009 and 2010.

This annual juried photography exhibition seems to be absolutely challenging and the details of submitting applications to this exhibition along with the entry fees and deadlines will be available on the website of the Downriver Community Arts Council.

FlashMe Photography makes today last forever

One may say that Daniela Gonzalez is in the preservation business, but most people would say that he is in the business of memories. She has also been also been known to reignite romance at around a zillion degrees in the lives of lovers, and some of them separated by thousands of miles.
Very recently, Gonzalez celebrated the grand start of the FlashMe Photography Inc. in Windsor Ave. in Berwyn. This self-taught photographer specializes in newborn, child, family portrait and maternity photography. She also shoots pin up glamour shots. This is exactly how she got her started in photography business around 8 years ago in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
She stated that she started when her husband named Mario was in the Navy. She was doing pinups for serviceman’s wives and lovers overseas. Then people asked him would she take baby picture. From North Carolina, Corpsman Mario Gonzalez was posted at the Great Lakes Naval Center. Having finished completed his service, the marine got a degree in accounting and now he is an accountant. Daniela added that the Gonzalez’s now live in Cicero and have 3 energetic, crazy and wild boys.
Gonzalez stated that this is important for people to have snaps that could be passed on to future generations of family members as a way of not forgetting those from the past. She stated that she like her clients to feel at home, like her family. This is mainly important for clients coming in for pin-up or boudoir photos.

Madden photography club set to have beginner program for enthusiasts

Madden Photography Club is all set to arrange an Introduction to Photography program on 26th April, at Madden Hall. Those looking to learn more regarding their camera are now welcome to come out and take part in the program.
Madden Photography Club’s Bill Rendall told that they were putting this on for the community to take part in. This is a basic understanding of your camera. To take part, one just has to bring a camera and a manual work. No experience is required to participate in this program. Bill added that there are around sixteen memberships and he welcome more people to come out and take part.
The club started in April as a reaction from club members in community asking Rendall to contribute his expertise, and it meets once a month. Along with a keen interest in livestock and wildlife photography, Bill told that he has been sharpening his skills since he was just sixteen year old.
Even though, he has never had any formal guidance, yet he attended a whole lot of seminars throughout Canada and he has also worked with pro photographers. When he is not out at each community programs clicking snaps, he goes on to farm and he is also a Madden volunteer firefighter.
He added that he love photography because this is a creative outlet and there are a lot of different aspects to this. In June, previous year, Bill told that he is surprised and even embarrassed by the nice things folks were saying about him that night.
