Playa Tecolote is an enjoyable place to visit. Free dry camping on beautiful beach but no toilets. Several restaurants and chartered trips to Isla Espiritu Santo and Los Islotes are available. I like hiking up to peak behind the beach and the peak at the west end of the beach for a beautiful view. The peak at the west end often has Frigate birds ridge soaring, I found it motor off soarable but I usually don't get very high above peak. The beautiful Bahia Balandra is a short hike, paddle or drive to the southwest. At low tide you can wade across the bay, look out for stingrays!
