	LV was my destination on my first wheeled trip to Baja in fall 2004. After reading "The Search for Captain Zero" I wanted to go. I was trying to learn to windsurf in Hood River. My plan solidified when my new friends Dan and Val told me I should head for La Ventana. I wonder what would have happened to me if I hadn't taken that road? It has a special appeal to me now, it's great to come back and see old friends. In 2005/2006 I designed and built my homebuilt camper here much to the dismay of a few campers - I understand. I won't say a lot of good things about the La Ventana as I will piss off my friends who don't want more people.
